This was always one of my favourite albums from the 1967-1971 period when Pop Music ruled the waves. I have listened to it again all the way through, and tried to be as tough as I can.
If a rating of any track is below 4.50, you can be sure that I have been very hard on myself, if not on what is one of my favourite ever albums.

Everything you hear, every instrument played, is McCartney himself; keeping it in the family, backing vocals alone are credited to Linda McCartney.

The world's greatest ever pop band was breaking up. If Lennon, Harrison, and Ringo on drums, had been there, the album might well have been given greater credit. 'A return to the pre-Maharishi Days', might have been the headline. As it is, McCartney, is the very aptly named title.
An absolute must in any McCartney collection.
