Retro album finds McCartney covering mostly rock and roll songs from the 50s, many of which were standards for the early Beatles live set. Paul recaptures none of the energy or infectious enthusiasm of the young Fab Four, sounding instead like a somewhat tired Stray Cats. At best decent, but mostly generic and inessential.
