Recorded over two days in 1997,this represents an important step in the American spacerock music scene.After years of hearing and reading of HAWKWIND playing the now legendary free festivals in Europe,the psychedelic warriors were to actually play an outdoor festival on American soil for the first time.In true freak fashion,the track listings on the booklet bare absolutely no relation to the tracks on the discs.Disc 2,was conceived as a sort of cosmic trip through the Strange Daze 97 Spacerock Festival.The recording tries to present some of the flavour and sounds of the event.
