COSMIC DANCER is a two-disc compilation of work by the glam rock icon T. Rex, all of which is live and previously unreleased. 'Debora,' 'Cosmic Dancer,' and 'Ride a White Swan' are among the T.Rex classics included.

At first glance, Greatest Songs: Cosmic Dancer would seem an excellent introduction to the world of Marc Bolan and T. Rex as evidenced by the inclusion of key tracks like '20th Century Boy,' 'Get It On,' 'Telegram Sam,' and 'Children of the Revolution.' What it doesn't tell you on the initial packaging is that almost all of the tracks are alternate or live takes. Fans looking for a solid collection from T. Rex would be much better off with 2007's Greatest Hits from Universal or Hip-O's 20th Century Boy: The Ultimate Collection. ~ James Christopher Monger

18 Track 2CD compilation of rare and unreleased T.Rex tracks recorded live at the height of their success. Running time is 60 Minutes on each disc, and they are packaged in 2CD slimline jewel box with a slipcase. Disc one was recorded during their UK Tour of 1971 and features great versions of their hits including: One Inch Rock (reached Number 7 in 1972 and Number 28 in 1968). Debora (reached Number 7 in 1972 and Number 34 in 1968). Ride A White Swan (reached Number 2 in 1970). Hot Love (reached Number 1 in 1971). Get It On (reached Number 1 in 1971). Also features best known album tracks, 'Cadilac', 'Beltane Walk', 'Jewel' and 'Cosmic Dance(. Disc two was also recorded in 1971. Two further tracks, including 'Elemental Child' were recorded during the UK lOur. Four tracks, including Carl Perkins' 'Honey Don'f were recorded in New York. The final two tracks, featuring Eddie Cochran's 'Summertime Blues' were recorded in Paris. ICEN. 2005.
