More info

This is even better than the debut album from this very underrated band featuring John Lawton (who was to become the singer for Uriah Heep later in the decade). The beautiful piano intro to 'Rose on the Wine' that evolves and changes into a heavy guitar riff really impressed me. There is everything on this album; piano, organ, moog-syntheziser, acoustic guitar solos and heavy guitar riffs and not to forget John Lawtons amazing vocals. He sounds even better here than he ever did with Uriah Heep. Even the lyrics are good (something that rarely can be said about progressive and hard rock albums). This album is very tasteful indeed and highly recommended. An underrated album by a very underrated band.
